CSFileWatch readme ================== Important notice: please read this file before installing and using CSFileWatch. 0. Borland Database Engine This installation adds the borland database engine (BDE) to your harddisk, or updates the borland database engine already on your system if necessary. This is why the installation is a whopping 5.5 MB. Make sure to note all your BDE settings before installing this application, because it has not been tested on many systems yet. Play it safe. Backup, backup, backup. It can never be stressed enough! 1. installation CSFileWatch is available as one 5.5 MB download (CSFileWatchDisk1234.exe), or in a segmented download (CSFileWatchDisk1.exe - CSFileWatchDisk4.exe). The files within each of these archives are zipped using WinZip, and the default unzip directory for the installation is c:\temp\CSFileWatch. Once unzipped in c:\temp\CSFileWatch, run the setup.exe in this directory. The CSFileWatch application will be installed in the directory c:\program files\CS\CSFileWatch. No shortcut is added to the desktop or Start menu, so if you want a shortcut, you will have to add this manually. The CSFileWatch application is the file CSFileWatch.exe in the c:\program files\CS\CSFileWatch directory. 2. preparing the MS Word report document Within the c:\program files\CS\CSFileWatch directory you will find a template document named templatereport.dot . Open MS Word, go to the c:\program files\CS\CSFileWatch directory and open this templatereport.dot document. Use the menu to open the mail merge dialog box. Press the button, choose and choose the file c:\program files\CS\CSFileWatch\datareport.doc document as your datasource. Save the templatereport.dot template again by overwriting it.
